Week beginning 18th May Home Learning
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. I have attached some resources below for you with some lovely ideas to take part in.
Mrs Edwards has also uploaded a liturgy focusing on Our Lady which we'd invite you to join in with us.
Please find below learning activities for this week. There is an English and a Maths activity for each day plus a small amount of RE learning and other non-core subjects. Please continue to complete this work in the book that was provided for you. None of the learning that has been set is new (apart from the RE and non-core subjects but I have tried to make this clear and simple) and therefore please ask your children to remember the way they have been taught this in class. We are using this time to embed existing knowledge rather than try and teach anything new. At the end of each week, I will remove these resources and upload resources for the following week.
Please continue to read daily using either books from home or the amazing online resources using the web links below where many books have been made available for free. If you can get hold of the book 'Cloudbusting' then I'd highly recommend it - we started it in class so the children might be keen to find out what happens!! Times table rockstars can still be used as well and please build in time to keep learning the words on the Y5/6 spelling list. The more of these that can be learnt during this time, the better!
I would recommend you continue doing Joe Wickes daily PE lessons and continue with the non-screen activities too! Anything useful that I find, I will continue to try and add to this page.
I'm missing the children so much but I am proud of everything they are doing in their absence from school. Please continue to use our class twitter to communicate with me! It makes my day to see what the children have been up to at home. Above all, please stay at home and stay safe. I'm hoping with each day that passes that I will be able to see you all soon!
